Development & production
The manufacturer’s heritage register distinguishes the 2007–2009 demonstrator, subsequent KARAYEL programme and later wing and payload developments. These development periods are not converted into invented first-flight dates.[52]
Versions & programme scope
KARAYEL Demo, KARAYEL, KARAYEL-S, KARAYEL-U and KARAYEL-SU are grouped under one named family. The heritage page dates S to 2016, U to 2016–2017 and SU development to 2017–2020; these are programme-history labels, not current fleet counts.[52]
