A sourced record of talks, agreements, border arrangements, transport, trade and humanitarian contacts.
Counting & sources
Each record has one primary category and is counted once. A meeting that addresses several topics remains one event. Repeated announcements, translations and mirrored reports do not create extra events. The chart measures documented developments, not the success of normalization.
Event dates determine the timeline; a later publication date is shown separately. Month-only dates are retained when the exact day is not established. Official statements verify what a body recorded, agreed or announced; implementation is identified separately. Coverage is selective and may be expanded.

Turkish deputy foreign minister attends Armenian reception
TalksParticipation
Ministers
Berris Ekinci attended Armenia’s Independence Day reception hosted by its BSEC mission in Istanbul.
The Armenian host’s published remarks identify and thank Ekinci and Turkish Foreign Ministry representatives. This documents official participation and contact, without implying a new bilateral agreement.
Pashinyan and Erdoğan reviewed normalization, business links and Ani Bridge restoration at the UN General Assembly.
The official readout calls for implementing existing agreements and promoting trade and economic ties. It does not report that the common border or restored bridge was opened.
The envoys agreed to accelerate border arrangements and advance technical connectivity work.
The agenda covered Gyumri–Kars rail, electricity interconnection, Ani Bridge, visas and additional flights. Plans for new routes from summer 2026 were not proof that the routes were already operating.
Pashinyan and Erdoğan discussed normalization and regional communications in China.
The meeting took place during the Shanghai Cooperation Organization summit. The organization’s name is not used as evidence that the meeting was in Shanghai.
Pashinyan briefed Erdoğan on the Armenia–Azerbaijan Washington talks and discussed bilateral agreements.
The readout distinguishes the initialed Armenia–Azerbaijan agreement from the Armenia–Türkiye normalization process. The leaders agreed to continued political dialogue.
The envoys met at Margara–Alican and agreed to assess rail requirements and simplify official-passport visas.
The railway concerned the Akhurik–Akyaka crossing. Assessment and visa facilitation were agreed steps, not evidence that rail service or the visa changes were already operating.
Mirzoyan and Fidan discussed normalization with both special representatives present.
They exchanged views on concrete steps and reaffirmed the aim of full normalization. The envoys’ participation does not make this a seventh formal envoy round.
Pashinyan attended the Turkish president’s inauguration in Ankara.
The official release confirms attendance and reception by Çavuşoğlu. It does not describe a separate bilateral negotiating session or new signed agreement.
Mirzoyan and Çavuşoğlu discussed normalization and agreed to jointly repair Ani Bridge.
Mirzoyan also referred to preparing border infrastructure and visited the Armenian relief operation. This was a political agreement; a restoration protocol followed in May 2026.
