A sourced record of talks, agreements, border arrangements, transport, trade and humanitarian contacts.
Counting & sources
Each record has one primary category and is counted once. A meeting that addresses several topics remains one event. Repeated announcements, translations and mirrored reports do not create extra events. The chart measures documented developments, not the success of normalization.
Event dates determine the timeline; a later publication date is shown separately. Month-only dates are retained when the exact day is not established. Official statements verify what a body recorded, agreed or announced; implementation is identified separately. Coverage is selective and may be expanded.

Trade procedures
Türkiye completed procedures allowing Armenia and Türkiye to be named as goods’ origin or final destination.
The Turkish MFA announced on 13 May that the change took effect on 11 May for goods transported via third countries. It explicitly said border-opening work was still ongoing.
Armenia’s temporary ban on listed Turkish-origin imports ceased to apply on 1 January 2022.
Decree 1048-N applied for six months from 1 July 2021; ARLIS records its end date as 1 January 2022 and loss of force under its own sunset clause. This is expiry of a temporary measure, not a newly signed repeal agreement.
Armenia adopted a further six-month restriction on listed Turkish-origin imports from 1 July 2021.
Decision 1048-N gives both the adoption date and its 1 July effective date. It retained specified exceptions, so it should not be described as a ban on all trade with Türkiye.
Armenia moved the import ban’s start date to 1 January 2021.
Decision 2214-N replaced 31 December 2020 with 1 January 2021 and excluded goods already imported before that day. The amended date takes precedence over the October announcement.
