Religious composition
CSVNo comparable regional percentage verified.
The 2012 ARENA survey did not cover Chechnya or Ingushetia. Sources below describe religious traditions and institutions; they do not measure residents’ affiliations.[24][26][27][31][29]
- Sunni and Sufi traditions
An original 2014 ethnographic study describes Sunni Shafi‘i tradition and Qadiriyya devotional practice among Ingush communities. It does not estimate the religious distribution of all republic residents.[27]
- Orthodox Christian communities
A March 2026 first-person church report documents Orthodox churches and prayer communities in Ingushetia, including Sunzha. The Grozny Diocese directory records institutional coverage from March 2025. Neither source supplies a population share.[31][29]
ARENA 2012 did not survey this republic. No defensible region-wide religious percentages are supplied here. The dated sources document communities and traditions; they are not a representative distribution, and the list is not exhaustive. Religion is not inferred from ethnicity.
Language provisions
Ingush; Russian[9]
Source editions
Article 14 in that posted edition identifies Ingush and Russian as state languages. This legal provision does not measure language proficiency or everyday use.[9]
Institutions
The administration’s posted constitutional text provides for the People’s Assembly and Government. The hosted edition is labelled with amendments through April 2016, so its formal provisions are kept separate from any assessment of present-day implementation.[9]
