THE READER’S FIRST QUESTION
WHAT DOES THIS DOCTRINE OFFER ME PERSONALLY?
This book is written personally for you — the person holding it in your hands right now. The entire idea behind it is directed towards you. It is a practical guide to protecting your life, discovering the strengths hidden within you, and building our own future with our own hands.
You are the central figure in this entire project. Every word, every blueprint and every step here has one purpose: to protect you, develop your talents and broaden your opportunities. Without you, without your living mind and energy, our plan to build a strong and unbreakable country will remain only on paper. Your desire to grow, earn and win is no accident. You are unique and vitally important to the Armenian people. The entire future of our shared state rests on your strength, your time and your decisions.
In presenting this project, I am not asking you to sacrifice your personal goals for our State. On the contrary, together we are rebuilding our State so that, step by step, it provides everything you personally need for a confident and dignified life.
Your foundation: complete security and inviolability. Your life, the lives of your family and children, your home, all your property and the money you have earned will be reliably protected. The external Bel must not be able to destroy your life and home, nor his internal servants to seize your possessions. Protecting your private life and the fruits of your honest work becomes the State’s non-negotiable duty.
Your environment: freedom from lawlessness, pressure and obstacles. You are freed entirely from the need to waste your strength fighting injustice, extortion by officials and endless paperwork. We are creating an environment in which your energy, business and capital can serve your well-being and that of your family, and the strengthening of our shared State, to the fullest extent.
Your contribution: the opportunity to leave a mark. Your mind and abilities will never again encounter the impenetrable wall built from personal connections, nepotism and patronage. Your advancement will rest on real knowledge, work and results achieved honestly. From now on, the strength of your thinking and the scale of your ambitions will directly determine how we shape reality and build our shared world.
BEL’S GREATEST DECEPTION AGAINST HAYK:
THE TRAP OF ISOLATION
My father deeply appreciated Guy Ritchie’s film Revolver. He watched it many times; with a watchmaker’s insight, he saw in it a valuable philosophy and a mathematically precise model of history’s greatest deception.
I express one of the film’s central ideas this way: the greatest enemy hides where you least expect to find him — inside your own ego, presenting his voice as your own.
Hayk, you who are reading these lines, Bel played a flawless game against you. Yes, against you and your brilliant mind. He exploited your belief in your own exceptional nature. He whispered softly to your ego: “You are too intelligent for this rotten system. You are autonomous. You are separate. You can save yourself alone. Build your closed micro-world; wall yourself off with money, a career or escape abroad. Defeat everyone individually, preserve your personal comfort, and you will have won.”
Your ego eagerly swallowed this bait. You took your alienation from the whole as a sign of personal freedom, strength, independence and pragmatism. But it was the greatest deception of your life. Bel hid your main enemy inside your own head, presenting his will-paralysing voice as your sovereign choice. You were simply cut off from our nationwide network so that our system could be bled dry and all of us devoured one by one, including you.
For reality’s harsh law operates inexorably, no matter how brilliantly and securely you have arranged your personal life. Personal security, individual success and the inviolability of your property cannot endure where the shared foundations of our civilisation and state are crumbling.
THE TRUTH IS THAT WE ARE ALL ON THE SAME SHIP
Because of the nature of human perception, we live from birth with the illusion of being separate from others. We are accustomed to identifying ourselves exclusively with our physical bodies, and so we cease to feel our neighbour’s pain and joy as our own. In my worldview, an understanding of ancient Armenian heritage and Jesus’s command to love your neighbour as yourself converge around one principle: to value another person’s life, dignity and future with the same responsibility as your own. At the spiritual foundation of this doctrine is the idea of the unity of consciousness: we are parts of a single whole, and our sense of complete separateness is an illusion.
This truth has resonated for decades in Arthur Meschian’s philosophy and songs. An architect not only by profession but also in spirit, he uncompromisingly warned us of the catastrophe of spiritual blindness, when private prosperity is set against a shared destiny. I understand Meschian’s revolt as a protest not against the market economy, but against turning a nation into an unprincipled marketplace where conscience and duty are openly put up for sale.
We need consciously directed capitalism. The free market, private initiative and capital are an immense source of nuclear energy. And the state must direct that energy towards one supreme goal: building an Impregnable Armenian Civilisation. This is the pragmatism on which Lee Kuan Yew built Singapore, and with which Alexander Hamilton and Park Chung-hee contributed to the industrial strengthening of the United States and South Korea respectively.
Capital must serve the Human Being and the State, not the Human Being and the State serve capital. Humanity’s greatest tragedy is confusing ends with means. Capital has changed from a means into an end in itself. The human being, a creator made in the Creator’s image and likeness, has become a slave to capital.
The disruption of this balance paved the way for the triumph of Bel’s conception: extreme self-centredness. Competition between brothers became detached from shared responsibility and turned into a race for outward splendour and material success, in which a person’s worth was measured solely by their possessions. Yet in the face of an existential threat, we are all entirely equal. Geopolitical upheaval and the attacking Bel’s precision weapons recognise no class distinctions. Your bank balance, the make of your car, your diploma and the prestige of your address mean nothing to them. An external crisis instantly and mercilessly wipes out any of your illusory achievements.
Imagine the Ship. In the face of a storm, we have no separate, secure cabins. You can expend enormous effort making your own cabin perfect, furnishing it with the most expensive possessions and creating flawless comfort — sometimes merely to live better than your neighbour. But if there is a hole in the hull, your cabin will sink with the entire ship. At that moment, your accumulated material wealth will not save you. In the face of destruction, we Armenians are all equal.
Many seek salvation in emigration. It can resolve urgent personal problems, but it does not eliminate the question of collective security. No state in the world is forever protected from crises. Abroad, you move to another ship, whose strength and course also depend on decisions beyond your control. There too you may encounter legal, social and value-related obstacles. Changing countries does not in itself mean definitively resolving the problems of security and preserving identity.
Yet by entrusting your future entirely to a foreign environment, you also put your descendants’ connection to their own language, culture and homeland at risk. That connection does not preserve itself: it requires conscious and consistent effort. Securing physical safety abroad does not guarantee the continuity of Armenian identity. If the effort to preserve it ceases, your children or grandchildren may gradually lose that connection.
If you choose to live, create and continue the Armenian line on Armenian soil, then your fate is inseparably tied to the strength of our shared Ship, the decisions made on its captain’s bridge and events beyond its sides. While Hayk’s descendants are occupied with petty, fruitless competition among themselves, Bel plays at a much higher level — an entirely different, merciless game of annihilation. Without a strong State, any private success of yours will quickly become an unprotected target. In such circumstances, the erasure of your success is a matter of time. But this can be avoided.
TWO PATHS
I am not calling on you to become a politician. An awakening of consciousness asks of you a far simpler and more practical choice: between two ways of thinking. You face that choice every day.
THE PATH OF ILLUSORY AUTONOMY
You continue feeding Bel in your head, pretending that the State’s future does not concern you and saying, “I am not interested in politics.” You withdraw into your own everyday life, expend your energy in the race to consume and remain a passive participant in someone else’s larger game.
The result: a constant, inwardly corrosive fear of tomorrow. The gradual devaluation of everything into which you have invested your personal strength and years of work. And in the worst case, the loss of the State and forced exile. The final exile.
THE PATH OF CONSCIOUS CREATION
Through a deliberate act of will, you break out of mental isolation and disrupt Bel’s script. You begin to see your State as the central prerequisite for your own security, happiness and prosperity. By directing your mind, professional skills, resources or capital towards modernising the country, you invest directly in yourself and your lineage.
The result: the construction of an Impregnable Armenian Civilisation that protects your life, strengthens your security and creates the conditions for your lineage and your nation to live on their own land, generation after generation, as masters of their future.
CHOICE
If you think you can avoid this choice, you are mistaken. That is Bel’s greatest illusion. Not making a choice is also a choice, one that automatically and irreversibly leads down the first, destructive path. Historical inaction always demands the highest price: an existential one.
Either we will together overcome the illusion of division, rise above petty self-centredness and rebuild our State with a builder’s cool logic, grounded in efficiency and precise calculation, or sooner or later we will lose everything — absolutely everything.
This book does not offer you comforting myths. It offers a practical blueprint for building the State, showing how to turn our desire for shared victory into calculated steps, and the strengthening of the State into a foundation for your personal progress.
