Earlier association records do not establish WAC’s legal continuity.

  1. Reported date

    Online commemoration reported

    Contemporary record

An online commemoration is reported under both organizational names, with MPs, scholars and domestic/overseas representatives.

Named body: Society and WAC names used together in the report

Only a secondary report is included; the event has not been independently confirmed in this record.

The report names both organizations in an online commemoration. Attendance and the event date are reported by that outlet; the record does not establish the organizations’ legal relationship.

  2. Publication date

Interview explicitly uses both organization names

    Contemporary record

The interview identifies Alekberli as leading both named bodies, before the August 2022 reorganization.

Only a secondary report is included; the event has not been independently confirmed in this record.

The dated report describes a meeting and uses both organizational names. It supports reported name usage and the meeting account, not a separate registration or proven legal succession.

  4. Publication date

Ankara online conference names the Community

    Contemporary record

A Turkish report explicitly attributes an online conference to the Ankara representation and names Alakbarli as Community chair.

Named body: “Batı Azerbaycan Topluluğu” Ankara representation, as named in the source

The article names organizer WAC Ankara representation, Derya Akdemir as its representative, and Aziz Alakbarli as WAC chair. It attributes denial of the Armenian genocide and claims about Zangezur to speakers. Alakbarli demands return conditions, adding that otherwise they already know the route. This is an unspecified conditional warning, not an announced attack.

Current full text and metadata agree on 24 April 2021. Internet Archive CDX lists a same-day capture; its body initially returned 429 and was not yet read. Naming and reported activity are documented at the source’s stated date; legal continuity and exact event day remain unestablished.

  5. Publication date

Conference co-organized by “Azerbaijan Refugees Society”

    Contemporary record

TÜRKSOY names “Azerbaijan Refugees Society” as a co-organizer and Alekberli as its chair. It does not name the Western Azerbaijan Community.

    Named body: “Azerbaijan Refugees Society”

The report uses the Turkish name “Azerbaycan Göçmenler Derneği”. It describes an organizational role, not merely Alekberli’s personal attendance. This does not independently establish that the association was WAC or prove legal continuity with it.

29 March is TÜRKSOY’s publication date. The exact event day remains unconfirmed. The source corroborates the named society’s participation, not WAC’s involvement or succession.

The conference and the named society’s role are corroborated by a co-organizer. A verified copy of the Academy newspaper already existed by 2 March 2022. Neither source establishes WAC involvement or legal continuity.
