Armenian communities

Community estimates and official figures use different definitions and years. Do not add them. Census counts, government estimates and official citizenship or migration statistics are labeled separately.

These two references have different coverage and methods. Their difference does not measure missing people or population change. The country sum is not a current worldwide count.

Russia, the EU and the USA are highlighted first. Other countries and the separate EU members are sorted largest first by selected community references. Published ranges remain visible; their midpoints are used only for sorting and the indicative sums. Country figures use at most three significant digits; sums use at most two. Unknown totals appear last and are excluded from sums.

All 27 EU countries have a profile; 26 have a numeric community reference. The EU sum includes those references once each, using range midpoints and stated boundaries. It is not a synchronized EU population count.

A census count, an ancestry response and a community estimate measure different populations. Dates and definitions remain attached to each figure. The covered-country sum uses selected reference values, range midpoints and stated boundaries for “more than” or “up to”; it is not a synchronized population count or a statistical confidence interval. Undated and historical estimates are not current resident counts. The independently published worldwide estimate must not be added to the country sum.

Community estimates and official figures are shown separately, with definitions and dates. The official column distinguishes census counts, government estimates and historical census references. Citizenship and birthplace alone are not substitutes for the full Armenian community. The community sum uses community estimates only, including the Office estimates for France and Georgia; it is not added to census figures. Coverage and reference years remain incomplete. Brazil and Iran have conflicting estimates, Syria has a lower-confidence attributed estimate, and Ukraine has no verified current community total.
